Accounting & Payroll Specialist

As an Accounting & Payroll Specialist you will:

  • Manage all aspects of the company’s financial records and transactions.
  • Month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.
  • Calculate taxes (VAT, CIT, PIT) and prepare tax returns.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and general ledger accounts.
  • Process payroll for employees, ensuring accurate calculations, deductions, and timely payments.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and other payroll-related documentation.
  • Communicate and actively partner with the HR department as needed on payroll related matters.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Handle the processing of invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Perform reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial documents.
  • Report to external institutions (US, ZUS, GUS, NBP) according to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the British subsidiary to provide financial data and support their accounting processes.
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting and payroll regulations, industry trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making processes.

  • A degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role with payroll responsibilities, preferably in an international setting.
  • Profound knowledge of tax law, local accounting regulations and payroll requirements.
  • Experience with payroll calculations, customer invoicing, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Working knowledge of the principles of accounting for international transactions.
  • Responsibility and independence in the performance of assigned tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant accounting software and tools.
  • Fluent in both Polish and English.
