Validation Engineer

What a typical day looks like:

  • Responsible for the translation of product- and customer system requirements to a test plan with reliable test methods and test equipment, including the interaction with the actuator specific hardware and software;
  • Work with the responsible Product Engineers and Software Validation Engineers on the verification of the product design & validation of the end-product on component and actuator level; move between projects and prioritize;
  • Responsible for aligning and handing over verification and validation tooling and its use (including alignment with general test equipment) to the Test Engineers; identify how to specify product, based on that define test cases to prove that the product is meeting requirements;
  • Generate, in conjunction with Process Engineering, tool requirements of the actuator specific test equipment and organize the availability of required documentation like CAD models, CAD drawings and other required documentation;
  • Assist with providing technical support to customers on verification and validation;
  • Align testing methods throughout the MCi product range and review independently test outputs.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • A completed degree in a relevant field such as precise mechanical or mechatronics engineering or Industrial Design with relevant professional experience in a similar position ideally in the Automotive Industry, alternatively Aerospace and MedTech or another regulated environment;
  • Knowledge of designing plastics, metals and mass production;
  • Ideally some experience with similar technologies like mechanical actuators or developing mechanical or electromechanical parts and components for moving vehicles;
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and software (e.g., LABview, Arduino); Knowledge on statistics, MSA etc. Preferable Six Sigma Green Belt;
  • Comfortable using 3D CAD tools, PTC Creo is preferred, but not a must have;
  • Experience with Automotive standards and Quality tools (IATF 16949, DFMEA, etc.);
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional foreign languages are an advantage.
