Your tasks
- Providing expert guidance and oversight in planning, design, and process simulation and solution concepts;
- Conducting process engineering planning, calculations (heat- and mass balance), and simulations for process plants (new designs as well as optimizations);
- Creating flow diagrams, P&ID schematics, and specify plant equipment;
- Developing innovative technical concepts and provide leadership in Process Design Packages (PDP) and process white book;
- Coordinating and participating in process safety studies (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA) and design review meetings;
- Leading, initializing, conducting, managing, and supporting R&D projects required for technology development, process design, and other fields;
- Technical leadership of process design & simulation, as well as training and supporting our junior process engineers;
- Consolidating of competencies across departments and teams as well as interface management within technology and process development;
- Steering development of OMV internal standards for process development.
Your profile
- University Master’s Degree/Diploma in the field of Chemistry or Process Engineering;
- At least 9 years of relevant professional experience and track record in chemical process engineering, process design, concept engineering incl. process design layout;
- Vast experience in process simulation software (e.g. Aspen Plus, Aspen Hysys);
- Proficiency in basic reactor design and mathematical software tools (e.g. Matlab, Python, R), as well as design of experiments as well as good knowledge in the areas of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat and mass transfer;
- Strong analytical skills, innovative mindset with substantial problem solving skills;
- Advanced English language skills (German is a plus).
