You will be involved in the following tasks:
- Review, understand and summarize customer specifications;
- Make instrument/part selection and determine initial design of the system;
- Instruct/guide design team in the production of drawings, BOM’s, and supporting documents for the manufacturing, testing, installation and operation of mechanical seal systems;
- Occasionally create designs, drawings and other documents with the help of Inventor;
- Drive, control and take ownership of engineering activities;
- Coordination of technical project aspects (including interface between seal and system engineering);
- Determine cost and delivery impact of changes to the scope of supply;
- Handle QA requirements for orders, quality plans and support inspection for order and components;
- Support warranty issues;
- Provide technical support to Sales;
- Join kick-off, Hazop and/or clarification meetings.
You are the ideal colleague if you have:
- Bachelor’s or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline;
- 5-10 years relevant experiences and knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Oil & Gas industry, project engineering, 3D design, hydraulic engineering, pressure vessels, instrumentation and interpreting customer specifications;
- Experience in Inventor or SolidWorks is preferred;
- Strong analytical, problem solving and computer skills;
- Strong planning, time management and organizational skills;
- Ability to focus on long term goals and to identify and produce deliverables aligned with business objectives;
- Good communication skills with Customers, Sales, Operations and Engineering;
- Professional working proficiency in English.
