Hardware Development Leader

Key responsibilities

• Define electronics hardware development milestones based on input from program management, system leaders, electronics hardware and mechanical competencies;
• Define hardware release scope considering requirements, change requests and feasibility in regards of timing;
• Collaborate with system and software development leaders to ensure synchronization of the HW/SYS and SW development V-cycles;
• Define expectation dates for electronics HW deliverables from hardware architects, hardware design engineers and mechanical engineers;
• Track progress of electronics hardware deliverables and test;
• Communicate and track expectations from the HW team to other teams;
• Evaluate and communicate delays and risks to product development;
• Represent electronics hardware development timing internally and in front of the customer;
• Work with the prototype line and series production factory to ensure on-time prototype and documentation delivery;
• Monitor, track and communicate project resource needs.

What we’re looking for

• Masters degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering or an associated field;
• 5+ years experience in automotive electronics hardware development;
• 2+ years of experience in leading a project team;
• Active listener, strong communicator and strong leadership skills;
• Good foundation knowledge in hardware embedded systems and mechanical constraints;
• Proficient in communicating with customer and engineering leadership;
• Fluency in English is required.
