Field Engineer

Your tasks in detail

  • Hands-on activities at our customers’ sites: preparation, final testing and commissioning of plants and systems;
  • Strategic and planning activities to prepare and optimise commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting as well as general product improvement and standardisation;
  • Professional customer contact, acting as a role model and managing and supporting the project teams on site;
  • RAMs documentation and deployment, development of process instructions and commissioning protocols;
  • Management of preparations for ATEX, PED and PSSR tests and review of system documentation;
  • Training customers and employees on ITM system technology;
  • Ensuring project continuity through a proactive and solution-orientated approach.

What you bring with you

  • Diploma or Master’s degree in engineering;
  • More than 4 years of experience in a site commissioning lead role;
  • Knowledge and experience with hydrogen processing plants and hydrogen safety;
  • Ideally qualification for working at height and in the field of gas systems;
  • Strong experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical low voltage systems as well as water systems of process plants;
  • Ideally also experience with high-voltage systems, power supply systems and gas processing;
  • Ability to interpret engineering design documents, drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, single line diagrams and ladder diagrams;
  • Experience and qualifications related to the implementation of ATEX devices;
  • Ideally experience with Swagelok or similar installation systems and Microsoft Field Service;
  • Strong health and safety awareness;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with our customers’ staff at all levels;
  • Strong analytical understanding and fault anticipation with flexibility and problem solving skills;
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English – other languages an advantage;
  • Class B driving licence;
  • Willingness to travel extensively to our international customers and our headquarters in Sheffield UK.
