Key Accountabilities
- Develop plans and make calculations for a variety of elements within an engineering project, draw blueprints and electrical diagrams;
- Coordinate direct day-to-day support and oversight of project elements, visit sites to take measurements Lead direct or indirect support to engineers or engineering teams by gathering data for permit applications, submitting documentation to officials and other day-to-day duties Coordinate and communicate projects group as needed on major projects in the Business Units Responsible for the production and the performance of assigned projects;
- Establish the working relationship with operations management needed to facilitate the coordination and execution of project work, such that the operational impact is minimized;
- Responsible for the development of the technical competencies in the engineering scope of works Assist the PM during project execution including the definition of the resources to be allocated and of the assets and tools to be utilized, in the assessment of the man-hours required in order to prepare/update the mobilization plan, in preparing progress reports, in managing client relationships and change orders or claims, in coordinating the invoicing activity, in issuing purchase requisitions and technical evaluations directly or in coordinating the technical teams and specialists support Ensure accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained throughout the projects;
- Monitor engineering progress against budget and forecasted schedule Participate in and lead risk assessments and actively manage the risks of the projects and the business Responsible for the technical and contractual close-out of the project and ensures the project report;
- Prepare project estimates, budget, schedules and execution plans Be aware and understand the Quality Policy. Ensure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA QMS. Be aware of the quality of his own work and its impact on service delivery and contribute to the QMS improvement according to his/her role;
- Answer contractor questions on behalf of the supervising engineer, and serve as liaisons between engineering and construction personnel.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic/TLC Engineering.
Qualifications
- Having at least 5 years of experience in electrical system design for power generation plant (conventional/renewables) and or HV/MV electrical systems (preferably gained in an Engineering and Consultancy Company or EPC Contractor) will be considered as a strong plus;
- Good Knowledge of AutoCad and power system study software (ETAP/DIgSILENT PowerFactory, Neplan or similar);
- Knowledge of DIALux (or analogous lighting calculation software) and/or DEHN Risk Tool will be considered as a plus;
- Good level of English both written and spoken.
