More specifically, you will:
- Be responsible for the design, draft and analysis of fluid subsystems on-board the Spectrum rocket;
- Take ownership to set up, run and modify simulations to model thesis subsystems;
- Define detailed requirements for fluid system components;
- Review and provide critical feedback to the CAD Team in the implementation of designs;
- Write technical documentation and conduct (sub)system design review;
- Improve/create processes to streamline workflows where necessary;
- Travel to test sites to support system-level testing efforts on-site.
Who you are and what you have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or chemical engineering (or equivalent);
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry or similar;
- Deep understanding of the mutual influence of on-board fluid and other vehicle and ground system;
- Flexible attitude towards highly iterative designs, especially in the early design phases;
- Adjusting self-sufficiently and quickly to a changing work environment;
- Highly organized, effective team player with high attention to detail;
- Communicating actively and openly in a constructive manner;
- Present complex issues in a clear and insightful manner;
- Can-do attitude;
- Fluent English.
Nice to Have:
- Practical experience in design and testing on-board cryogenic fluid system designs;
- Hands-on experience with piping system assemblies or other relevant shop floor experience;
- Experience with EcosimPro/ESPSS, Python, Simulink;
- Experience with high-pressure and cryogenic piping systems.
