Duties
The Community Management and Digital Production Coordinator is responsible for building, maintaining, and creating content for Consulate General Frankfurt’s flagship digital properties (social media and other digital content); developing a year-long editorial calendar to promote Mission priorities with online communities; researching and analyzing evolving markets for Consulate digital properties; and customizing content and online engagement to promote Mission objectives. Organizes, designs, and develops innovative engagement opportunities across platforms to promote Mission objectives. Provides guidance to Public Diplomacy (PD) Public Engagement staff and other Consulate personnel who engage with online communities on standards, regulations, and policies for the use of digital properties. Is responsible for the production of all visual and multimedia elements of the Consulate’s public engagement, including the design, creation, and acquisition of customized visual and multimedia content that is disseminated online, in person, or via traditional broadcast channels. Creates compelling visual content for all Consulate outreach materials by assessing visual aspects of the German media environment, public preferences for visual content formats and dissemination channels, and the impact of the Consulate’s visual materials.
Tracks and collaborates with the Resource Coordination Specialist at Embassy Berlin on Frankfurt PD budgets and expenditures. Oversees Frankfurt PD Section time and attendance, representation, and other administrative tasks.
Mission Germany is an OSM 5+ post, a large mission located in a country of major importance to the United States. Germany has a high level of global influence and its government is a principal partner with which the United States interacts in all aspects of pressing bilateral, regional, multilateral, and global issues
Qualifications and Evaluations
EXPERIENCE:

- FSN-09: Two (2) years of experience is required in managing digital properties, including online interaction with the public and content creation in multimedia and traditional formats.
- FSN-08 One (1) year of experience is required in managing digital properties, including online interaction with the public and content creation in multimedia and traditional formats.
A university degree in Communications, Business, Advertising, Marketing, or local equivalent is required.
LANGUAGE: Mandatory:

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

A “certification” is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant. The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service. Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
