We have an exciting opportunity for an advanced leader with strong project delivery skills to join our international QI – Team. Based in the DE, UK or IT, as a leader of a dynamic and friendly team. You’ll get the opportunity to develop and promote the team to a best-in-class project delivery team. Your team will include, European and Japanese Project Managers, Product Owners and Product Managers. Your task is the successful processing of strategical, tactical, process, technical and MHE related operations projects. You will manage our change management needs by mentoring and using Cascade Choice, Design Thinking and process improvement methodologies. Basis of this leading role is a clear understanding of the most important business & Logistics related factors, strategies, dependencies, processes and process flows.
It is important, that you are: Fluent in German and English (spoken & written). Willingness and ability to travel if requested, short term as well as up to a few weeks is a must for this role.
Your must-haves:
  • You will take over operational responsibility for the projects of the overall portfolio of International Operations (Intralogistics / Fulfillment Center, Drop Shipment and Inbound Supply Chain) and support of other business areas
  • You are verifying project benefits (service, costs, flexibility, and innovation) and ensure that benefits are monitored as well as considered along the project from idea / RFW to successful execution
  • You will ensure that the projects match the scope documented and at the same time are delivered in time and as budgeted within the required benefits. Detect project risks at an early stage and develop strategies to avoid or minimize possible implications
  • You’ll lead international decision, and sponsor meetings (e.g. information about status of project(s), intake of new Requests for Work, change of priorities, regular project information meetings with German workers council (incl. support of workers council negotiation) and prepares recommendations for solutions, requires decisions and implement them
  • You’ll represent the QI Intralogistics / Supply Chain department in cross functional meetings (e.g. QI SMT Technology update, IT portfolio update and cross value stream meeting)
  • You will be in continuous exchange with your counterparts in the US
  • You are responsible for the development of a product strategy and the prioritization of a roadmap, which: uses consistent design principles, focusing on the benefit of the customer and considers the contact points with the customer, anticipates general market trends and prioritises functionalities according to business benefits
  • You’ll work closely with Operations, Engineering, German workers council, IT and other relevant functions (e.g. legal, finance and procurement)
Your Profile:
  • You have an excellent master’s degree in business engineering or computer science or business administration with the focus on logistics or suitable apprenticeship
  • You have several years of experience in leading various project teams with proven results and success in Intra-Logistic or Supply Chain (preferably in B2C business)
  • You have proven leadership and project management skills – act like a coach with multi-cultural experience especially in leading team members across multiple markets and time zones.
  • You have the competence to build a team. You are persuasiveness, self-assertion, target orientation and able to negotiate
  • You have experiences in time management, strategic thinking and decision making
  • You experienced in presenting and communicating across all hierarchy levels in both: German and English
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to use them in the overall cooperation (Operations, BP&A, IT, Finance, People, Procurement, Legal)
  • You are self-motivated, act with Integrity, resilient and able to solve conflicts
  • You should be an innovative pioneer and be open minded – not limited by Status Quo
  • Your knowledge of actual project management methodologies/ –tools and IT technologies is state of the art and includes global political and cultural knowledge
  • You show a proven background in business economics, investment and cost calculation and you have advanced knowledge in related IT systems and applications (preferably in Logistics/Supply Chain)
  • You have proven experience in business, process and general knowledge of Intralogistics and Global Supply Chain Management
