We are searching for a Project Workers Lead who should build and manage a global team that is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive mobility strategies that support the fast-growing project business of Hitachi Energy. This role will overcome the relocation, assignment, and immigration processes for our international project workers, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have an extensive experience in managing global mobility programs within a multinational environment, with a focus on supporting project-based workers.

Your Responsibilities
- Build, lead and mentor a team of project worker mobility specialists, foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Develop and implement a global project workers mobility strategy and policy framework signed with the company’s business goals and growth plans
- Identify opportunities to enhance mobility processes and policies to improve employee experience and operational efficiency
- Oversee all aspects of the global project workers program, including international assignments, relocations, immigration, and tax compliance
- Manage the end-to-end process for employee transfers, including coordination with internal stakeholders and external service providers
- Ensure compliance with immigration laws, tax regulations, and employment laws across all operating countries with our vendors and identify and mitigate risks associated with project workers, including legal and financial risks
- Select and manage relationships with external vendors, including relocation service providers, immigration consultants, and tax advisors
Your background
- With a bachelor’s or master’s Degree in a relevant field, which includes Business Administration, Tax and Law, as your basis and at least 5-7 years of relevant work experience in Project Workers assignments, of which a few years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of international assignment management, immigration, tax, and employment laws
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices in global project workers mobility
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs
- Team Player with strong communication skills as well as analytical and fact-based thinking
- Hands-on experience of working in AssessmentPro and other relevant mobility systems
- Fluent English. Other European languages such as German and Swedish are a positive
- Openness to occasional business trips (25%)
