The Role of IT Project Manager
The resource is responsible for planning, managing and supervising company IT (Information Technology) projects, coordinating the resources involved, to ensure that the objectives and results set are achieved in compliance with the agreed timeframes and budgets. Analyzes the needs and identifies the technological solutions necessary to respond to these needs. Plans and manages strategies, policies and IT plans, establishes priorities in IT operations, evaluating the progress on each task and trying to calculate and prevent any possible critical issues that risk slowing down work.
Activities
Manages and coordinates IT projects
Supports the definition of project objectives and deadlines
Collaborates in defining the budget and monitors expenses
Manages the progress of activities, ensuring that they are proceeding correctly and, if necessary, making any corrections that prove necessary
Manages group communications and project meetings
Develops detailed reports on the progress of activities
The ideal resource:
At least three years’ experience gained in similar roles
Experience in managing budgets and project costs
Degree in technical/scientific subjects (in particular Computer Science and Computer Engineering)
Excellent IT skills (use of project management software for project management and monitoring)
Excellent knowledge of the English language
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
