Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be capable of the following:
- Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships with all personnel and departments;
- Analyse and develop of structural aspects of the car using Finite Element Analysis (both linear and non-linear), Structural Optimization (topological, shape, composite laminate, etc.) and hand-calculations;
- Analysis and numerical development of composite metallic parts and assemblies;
- Development parts with minimum weight, appropriate reliability and safety, reaching at the same time the required performance targets;
- Correlation of experimental data with FE results sometimes requiring scripting and programming;
- Effectively communicate to develop working relationships with colleagues in Structures group;
- Follow guidance and methods for development of components;
- Follow all safety regulations in all venues;
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Education and work experience:
- Must be graduate in Aeronautical, automotive, mechanical, marine or any other relevant engineering discipline;
- Internship or equivalent experience in a structures group performing components analysis or experience in Formula Student or equivalent projects;
- Must be able to communicate clearly, work under pressure, be self-motivation, ready to learn and contribute with the team.
Software experience (Desirable):
- HyperWorks/Hypermesh/Optistruct;
- Abaqus;
- Laminate tools or similar;
- CAD System: Catia V6 (just basic function);
- Excel/Matlab/Python.
