Senior Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets.
• Track software usage and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
• Manage software licenses, renewals, and agreements.
• Develop and implement SAM policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with software licensing terms.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with software non-compliance.
• Prepare for and manage external software audits.
• Cost Optimization:
• Analyze software usage to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Recommend software procurement strategies to optimize costs.
• Negotiate software licensing terms with vendors.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Generate reports on software usage, compliance, and cost savings.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
• Present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaboration and Support:
• Work with IT, procurement, and legal teams to manage software assets.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on software usage and compliance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, licensing changes, and new software solutions.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

Experience:

• 4-6 years of experience in software asset management, IT asset management, or a related field.
• Experience with SAM tools such as Flexera, Snow Software, ServiceNow, etc.
• Experience on Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat, VMware software product licensing.
