Join our client project, a prominent investment bank as a Product Control Business Analyst .The role is an integral part of a broader initiative focused on transforming the Product Control function. This transformation involves organizational changes, process enhancements, and simplifications, complemented by an investment in upgrading the technology accessible to users.
Collaborating with Product Control lines, Finance Change, and IT teams supporting Product Control, the role is designed to efficiently contribute to project delivery, address issues as they arise, and ensure effective communication of project status.
The incumbent is tasked with delivering business analysis outcomes that align with the Business Transformation Framework (BTF) and adhere to Finance Change’s best practice framework.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the value stream leadership by providing high-quality project analysis, including data assessment, process mapping, and benefit validation, aligning with the Change Framework.
- Collaborate closely with the local product control team to evaluate the impact of change requirements on day-to-day activities. Document necessary details for seamless business adoption, ensuring compliance with relevant change frameworks for locally driven changes.
- Take the lead in the system test phase of the project, ensuring comprehensive test coverage of Finance requirements.
- Coordinate the Finance aspects of User Acceptance Tests to ensure alignment with business expectations.
- Ensure the timely completion of all assigned tasks within agreed-upon timelines and plans.
- Facilitate effective communication with Finance, Product Control, and IT teams to confirm requirements, data attributes, analysis and design, testing, and business delivery.
- Assist in analyzing, designing, and testing solutions to meet confirmed requirements.
- Produce high-quality written business project documentation.
Requirements
- Previous practical experience in Global Banking and Markets within accounting domains.
- Preferably holds a qualification as a certified accountant, possessing a robust understanding of Global Market Products.
- Demonstrated involvement in Project Delivery for a minimum of two years, either in a direct role or as part of a project team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Access.
- Possesses strong analytical capabilities, effective problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, adept at conveying information clearly to various stakeholders and generating precise project documentation.
- Familiarity with Project Lifecycle processes, preferably with relevant qualifications.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Self-driven with a track record of rapid learning in dynamic environments.
- Outcome-oriented mindset, ensuring tasks are completed punctually and to high quality standards.
- Positive ‘Can do’ attitude, ready to undertake various tasks and support the team as needed.
- Skilled in building relationships and influencing others, including business leaders, senior managers, third-party consultants, technical experts, and business users.
- Displays a willingness and potential to take on additional responsibilities within the project.
